Somewhere in the middle of my degree I became the campus photographer. That’s where the looking started.

A camera, then Photoshop, then Adobe XD, and no idea that what I was doing already had a name. I found out it did, and that people were paid to do it. No degree, no bootcamp.

I graduated into a market with no appetite for juniors. It took four months of making work nobody asked for before someone paid me for it.

Mostly the only designer on the product, which taught me the parts of the job nobody assigns you and what solo work costs. I learned to pressure-test my own thinking because there was nobody else to do it. That story is in the case studies.
